Storm Approaching Long Island; What to Expect For Friday Commute

Rain will likely be falling during the Friday morning commute and it may also cause some trouble on the roads on the ride home.

The rain may come down moderate to briefly heavy at times before tapering off from west to east in the evening to overnight hours.

Wind gusts could approach 40 mph Friday afternoon and there may be some poor drainage flooding issues, the National Weather Service says.
