VIDEO: Mepham's Nick White to Play in Empire Challenge Football Game

Will represent Long Island in annual all-star event.

Mepham's Nick White will play in the annual Empire Challenge all-star football game Tuesday, June 21 at Hofstra University.

White, who will play defensive back in the game, will represent Long Island on the gridiron one last time as they look to beat the New York City team in the game meant to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis and youth football for the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

“This is a great honor, especially representing my team,” he said. “I feel grateful for this.”

There have been six other players from Mepham who have been selected to the game since its inception 16 years ago. He's the first since 2003 to be chosen.
