193rd Class Of Suffolk County Police Recruits Sworn In Monday

Suffolk County Police Department's 193rd Recruit Class will be sworn in Monday morning by Acting Commissioner Robert Waring in Brentwood.

BRENTWOOD, NY — Suffolk County Police Department's 193rd Recruit Class will be sworn in Monday morning by Acting Commissioner Robert Waring during a ceremony at the Suffolk County Police Academy in Brentwood.

According to the police department, the class includes 145 SCPD recruits, 16 of whom are fluent Spanish speakers. More than 40 percent of the class has prior law enforcement experience.

Additionally, 19 recruits from other agencies will be sworn in representing the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, Southampton Town Police, Amityville Village Police, Southold Town Police, Riverhead Town Police, Stony Brook University Police, Glen Cove Police and Long Beach Police.
