2 Suffolk Residents Claim More Than $2M In NY Lottery Prizes

The winning tickets were purchased in Central Islip and Bay Shore.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Two Suffolk County residents are starting Spring season with an abundance of green in their pockets.

Stephanie Fitzgerald of Brentwood and Noel Hernandez Fuentes of Central Islip recently claimed New York Lottery prizes earlier this month.

Hernandez Fuentes claimed his top prize on the New York Lottery’s Set For Life scratch-off game, on March 8, which offers players a guaranteed minimum payment of $5,000,000. He opted to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum totaling $2,340,401 after required withholdings, the New York Lottery website said.

The ticket was purchased at USA Quick Mart located at 44 East Suffolk Ave. in Central Islip.

As of this writing, there were six top prizes remaining on the Set for Life ticket.

On March 14, Fitzgerald has claimed her top prize on the New York Lottery’s $1,000,000 Bonus Word Cashword scratch-off game. She also received a single, lump sum payment totaling $651,000 after required withholdings, the New York Lottery website said.


The winning ticket was purchased at Shoprite of Bay Shore located at 1905 Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore.

As of this writing, there were four top prizes remaining on the $1,000,000 Bonus Word Cashword ticket.
