28 Summonses Issued To Trucks At Suffolk Checkpoint: Police
The summonses included violations pertaining to weight, equipment and emissions, police say.

BRENTWOOD, NY — Six trucks were given 28 summonses at a checkpoint in Brentwood on Friday, by Suffolk police and other county and state officials, authorities said.
The trucks were weighed and inspected between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. at Wicks Road Park and Ride.
Four were found to be overweight, police said.

A total of 28 summonses were issued including violations pertaining to weight, equipment and emissions.
The inspection was conducted by the department’s Motor Carrier Safety Section, New York State
Department of Environmental Conservation and New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation Police.

This incident comes two days after 14 fuel trucks were given 39 summonses at a checkpoint in Huntington Station.
