3 Arrested, Charged With Selling Vape Products To Minors: Cops

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Three employees at separate Suffolk County delis were arrested and charged on Thursday with selling vape products to minors, Suffolk County Police said.

In response to numerous community complaints, Third Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation into the sale of vape products, during which seven businesses were checked for compliance with the law.
During the investigation, three businesses were found to be selling vape products to people under-21 - years of age, police said.

An employee from the following delis were charged with second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor,

• Cloud 9 Smoke Shoppe III, located 1038 Islip Ave. in Brentwood
• Islandwood Cigar & Smoke Shop, located at 474 Main Street in Islip
• Mr Vape, located at 876-11 Connetquot Ave. in Islip Terrace

All arrestees were given Field Appearance Tickets and will appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date, police said.
