The Bay Shore bicyclist was crossing East Suffolk Avenue when he was hit twice.

A Brentwood man has been charged over the Bay Shore resident's death, but police are still looking for the 2nd driver, the Suffolk DA said.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Suffolk County police have arrested a Brentwood man over the crash that killed a bicyclist in Central Islip last year.

Detectives charged Junior Romero-Delcid, 27, with Leaving the Scene of an Incident Involving a Fatality.

Felix Cesi Oliva Cruz was killed on East Suffolk Avenue Sept. 25. The 65-year-old Bay Shore resident was riding a bicycle northbound across East Suffolk Avenue at Lowell Avenue at about 6:30 a.m. when he was struck by two eastbound vehicles, a dark-colored small SUV and a white sedan, police said. Both vehicles fled eastbound on East Suffolk Avenue.

Oliva Cruz was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.

Police allege Romero-Delcid was in a white Honda Civic. The Major Case Unit is still seeking the identity of the driver of the SUV.

Romero-Delcid is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at Suffolk County Court in Riverhead.
