Suffolk Drug Dealer Found Guilty For Selling Cocaine At Home: DA
The Central Islip man was convicted by a jury after a two-week trial, the DA says.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A Central Islip man was found guilty of possessing an excess amount of cocaine, with the intent to sell at his home, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced.
After a two-week trial on Thursday, a jury found Sean Mohan, 49, guilty of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for possessing a narcotic drug with the intent to sell it, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, before the Honorable Anthony S. Senft, Jr.
On August 6, 2021, members of the Suffolk County Police Department authorized a search warrant at Mohan's residence and found: in excess of eight ounces of cocaine from several locations within the home; four digital scales; four cell phones; a drug ledger; and more than $1,100 in drug proceeds, according to evidence at trial.

Mohan was previously convicted in 2004 of the felony offense of fourth-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, prosecutors said.
“This defendant chose to possess illegal and dangerous drugs with the intent to sell them in our community,” said Tierney. “Now thanks to the hard work of the Suffolk County Police Department and the Narcotics Bureau of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, this defendant can no longer endanger the community, and he will be held responsible for his actions.”
