Central Islip Man's Death Ruled Homicide, Police Seek Public's Help
His body was found Thursday in the yard behind a residence on 2nd Avenue, police said.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — The death of a Central Islip man whose body was found Thursday has been ruled a homicide, Suffolk County police said.
Detectives and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people who are responsible.
Police responded to a residence on 2nd Avenue in Central Islip at 12:50 p.m. Feb. 1 after an acquaintance of Marco Tulio Pineda called 911 to report he had been found dead in the back yard.

After an autopsy was performed, it was determined Pineda was a victim of a homicide, police said.
Pineda, 51, worked as a flooring installer and frequented businesses on Suffolk Avenue in
Central Islip.
