Gambling Bust Leaves 3 Arrested On Long Island: Police

Three people were arrested after a gambling bust at a 2 Long Island businesses on Tuesday, Suffolk police say.

BRENTWOOD, NY — Three people were arrested for gambling violations after a police raid at two Brentwood businesses, according to Suffolk County police.

Suffolk County Police last night arrested three people at two Brentwood businesses with illegal
gambling machines.

Police conducted a compliance check at Bueno Deli and Express Gas & Food Mart around 7:30 p.m. where they found and seized four illegal gambling machines, police said.

Bueno Deli employee Anelfri Bueno, 51, of Bay Shore, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of gambling device, police said.

Bueno Deli patron John Martinez, 39, of Brentwood, was arrested and charged with loitering for the purpose of gambling, police said.

Joginder Singh, 55, of Plainview, an employee of Express Gas & Food Mart, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of gambling device, police said.

They are slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date, police said.
