Hit-And-Run Hospitalizes 66-Year-Old Woman In Central Islip: PD
A 66-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Saturday night in Central Islip, Suffolk County police say.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Saturday night, Suffolk County police said.
Hillary Day, 66, of Central Islip, was walking on the westbound shoulder of the roadway in front of 31 W. Suffolk Avenue when she was hit by a driver heading westbound around 9 p.m., police said.
The driver fled the scene and Day was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

Police said the person was driving a gold-colored sedan.
