Infinity That Hit 110+ MPH And Fled Police On The LIE Impounded: PD
An Infiniti G37 that hit speeds over 110 mph on the Long Island Express while fleeing officers in June has been impounded, police say.

BRENTWOOD, NY — The driver of a 2010 Infiniti G37 hit speeds over 110 miles per hour on the Long Island Expressway and fled from police trying to stop the vehicle on June 26, according to the Suffolk Police Department's Street Takeover Task Force.
Police said they were initiating a traffic stop for speeding and reckless driving in Hauppauge when they attempted to pull over the car, which was weaving in and out of traffic on the westbound LIE near Exit 55 on June 26, around 10 p.m., when the driver fled on Exit 53 southbound.
Police said they located the vehicle on Blue Jay Drive in Brentwood on July 3, around 11:50 p.m., and impounded it as evidence.
