LI Ducks Kick Off 2025 Season With Pregame Anniversary Celebration

ISLIP, NY —The Long Island Ducks today will kick off the 2025 season with a 25th anniversary celebration at Fairfield Properties Ballpark on Saturday, April 26, before their season-opening game against the Lancaster Stormers at 6:35 p.m.

During the ceremony, the Ducks will welcome several key members of the franchise’s four Atlantic League championship victories to the field to throw a ceremonial first pitch

Four former Ducks players are slated to appear, including Kevin Baez, 2004 Atlantic League champion infielder and 2012 and 2013 Atlantic League champion manager; Kraig Binick, 2012 and 2013 Atlantic League champion outfielder; Ray Navarrete, 2012 and 2013 Atlantic League champion infielder/outfielder; and current Ducks manager Lew Ford, an Atlantic League champion outfielder in 2012, 2013 and 2019.

Saturday's ceremony will also highlight Ducks' historic moments on the DuckVision videoboard and via video messages throughout the game.

The first Fireworks Spectacular of the season is set to blast off after the game.

The Ducks' 25th Anniversary jerseys will also debut on Saturday. The green jerseys will feature the official 25th Anniversary Season logo on the front-left chest along with silver numbering, sleeves and shoulders, honoring their silver anniversary. Team members will wear the jerseys for select games throughout the season, and they will be auctioned off to fans later this year to benefit the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ducks.
