LONG ISLAND, NY — Incumbent State Senator Monica Martinez appears to lead the race for the NYS Senate District 4.

According to unofficial results from the Suffolk County Board of Elections, Martinez has the lead with 59,433 votes (56.23 percent) over her Republican challenger Teresa Bryant's 46,205 (43.71 percent).

The 4th State Senate District covers portions of Suffolk County including Islandia, Hauppauge, Central Islip, Brentwood, Bay Shore, Deer Park, West Babylon, Amityville, and Farmingdale.
