Murder Charge For LI Man After Fatal Shooting: Police
An LI man has been charged with murder after fatally shooting another man on Sunday, according to Suffolk County Police.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – A man has been arrested in connection with fatally shooting another man in Central Islip last weekend, according to Suffolk County Police.
Jeremias Anariba-Moran, 47, of Central Islip, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with second-degree murder for shooting and killing Gustavo Godinez-Carcamo, 40, while they were sitting in a parked vehicle in the driveway of Godinez-Carcamo's home on Sunday, police said.
Anariba-Moran fled the scene on foot and Godinez-Carcamo was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Anariba-Moran is being held overnight at the Third Precinct in Bay Shore and is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 19, police said.
