Pedestrian Struck By Car In Brentwood, Seriously Injured: Police

BRENTWOOD, NY — A pedestrian was seriously injured early Friday after he was struck by a car in Brentwood, Suffolk County police said.

At about 12:12 a.m., the man was walking southbound in the roadway in front of 407 Suffolk Ave., when he was struck by a westbound 2011 Ford Taurus, police said.

He was taken by Brentwood Legion Ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries, police said. The driver of the Taurus was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
