Suffolk Man Dead After Motorcycle Strikes Car Head-On : Police
The motorcyclist crossed the yellow lines in the road, police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — A man is dead after his motorcycle struck a car head-on in Brentwood on Saturday, Suffolk County Police said.
Gabriel Reyes, 50, of Bay Shore, was operating a 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Spur Drive North at about 11:40 a.m. when his motorcycle crossed the double yellow line, about 300 feet west of Route 111, and struck an eastbound 2011 Ford Explorer head-on.
He was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the Ford was not injured, police said.
The vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
