Suffolk Man Stabs Wife And 2-Year-Old Daughter To Death: Police
The man stabbed his family in their own home, police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — A man was arrested Sunday after police said he stabbed his wife and 2-year-old daughter to their death in their Brentwood home.
At about 4:40 p.m., officers responded to a Jefferson Avenue home after Zanoor Jaffari, 31, stabbed his wife, Misbah Batool, 33, and their daughter, Iazia Zanoor, police said.
The mother and child were taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where they were pronounced dead.

Jaffari was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for medical evaluation and discharged.
He faces charges of two counts of second-degree murder, police said. Jaffari was held overnight at the Third Precinct and was scheduled to appear Monday in First District Court in Central Islip.
