Suffolk Sheriff Hosts Student Ambassadors Graduation

Over 30 students will graduate from the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office Student Ambassador Program​ at Central Islip High School.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — More than 30 students will graduate from the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office Student Ambassador Program at Central Islip High School on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. will host the ceremony, marking the end of the 14-week program that focused on discussing public safety-related topics relevant to Suffolk youth, including cyberbullying, social media safety, vaping and drugs.

The program was held bi-weekly and officers met with a small group of students to facilitate an open dialogue and get a candid understanding of issues affecting young people.

During the ceremony, two graduates will receive $500 scholarships from Suffolk Credit Union. This is the fourth year Central Islip High School has hosted the program.
