Winning $50K Powerball Ticket Sold On Long Island

One of three winning Powerball tickets was sold at a business on Long Island, according to the New York Lottery.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold on Long Island, according to the New York Lottery.

According to officials, the winning ticket was purchased at a BP gas station located at 205 Lowell Ave. in Central Islip.

So far, no news on who the lucky winner is.

Lottery officials said the ticket was one of three winning tickets sold for the April 12 drawing, with the two others sold in Oswego and Rochester.

Winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from 1 to 69, while the red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of 1 to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., according to the lottery.
