Bronxville Police Blotter: Graffiti Vandals Caught

3:53 p.m. Police were called to the area of 77 Pondfield Road, to investigate a dispute between two motorists. Officers say they determined that one of the drivers was intoxicated. A 63-year-old Mount Vernon resident was arrested by Police Officer Dennis Karaman and charged with D.W.I. The 63-year-old failed a Breathalyzer test. He was then arraigned in the Justice Court of Bronxville. No charges were filed as a result of the verbal dispute between the motorists.

6:27 p.m. Police detained two 13-year-old Bronxville residents, after they saw them spraying graffiti on the Metro North underpass. Investigators say the juveniles were responsible for graffiti at several other locations throughout the village. The investigation will continue, and restitution is being sought for the damage.

5:27 p.m. Police Officer Lauralee Ulrich charged a 59-year-old Mount Vernon resident with driving with a suspended registration. Officer Ulrich made the arrest after the officer’s license plate reader sounded an alarm, when the Mount Vernon resident’s vehicle passed the officer’s police car. The 59-year-old’s vehicle was impounded.
