Bronxville Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Driving on Sidewalk

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Bronxville Police Department for the week of April 25 - May 2, 2011.

April 28

4:30 p.m.  Bronxville Police Officer Eric Van der Leeuw observed Wilson Lojano, 29, driving on the sidewalk at the intersection of Midland Avenue and Masterton Road.  When the officer pulled Lojano over, he found out that New Rochelle resident's license was suspended.  Lojano was charged with driving on the sidewalk and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.  He is due back in court May 4.

April 29

5:30 p.m.  An Eastchester resident was arrested after her car set off an officer’s license plate reader alarm.  Police say 48-year-old Francine Valenti was driving with a suspended license, suspended registration, and she didn’t have auto insurance.  Police made the arrest at the intersection of Midland Avenue and Willow Road.  Valenti was charged with operating a vehicle on a suspended license and operating a vehicle without insurance.

May 2

2:50 p.m.  A resident on Masterton Road said that her car had been broken into and $15 was taken out of the unlocked 2010 Infiniti.  The theft is still under investigation.
