STAC would begin game one with a lone run in the first inning. The Clippers would grab a run of their own in the top of the second inning as senior Michael Barbetto's (New City, N.Y.) sacrifice fly to right field allowed sophomore Mike Manganiello (Levittown, N.Y.) to score the game-tying run.
