Concordia Senior Named Pitcher of the Week

Anthony Pisano pitched a complete game shutout against Caldwell allowing no runs on four hits while striking out a career-high 12 batters.

Concordia senior Anthony Pisano has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Pitcher of the Week in baseball for the week of Apr. 29 - May 5, as announced on Monday by the CACC.

The Clarkstown, N.Y. native pitched a complete game shutout against Caldwell allowing no runs on four hits while striking out a career-high 12 batters. Pisano struck out seven of the nine starters for the Cougars in a 2-0 win for the Clippers. He faced 31 batters and threw 124 pitches to help Concordia clinch the #3 seed in the CACC Championship Tournament.

Pisano and the entire team will host Chestnut Hill in the first round of the CACC Championship Tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 2pm on Tuesday, May 7th at Clipper Baseball Field as the winner of the game will move on to the double-elimination portion of the tournament in Wilmington, Del. from Thursday, May 9th – Saturday, May 11th.
