Make 2023 Your Year of Writing at The Writing Institute
Sarah Lawrence College's Writing Institute is Celebrating 40th Anniversary This Year

Registration is now open for Spring 2023 open enrollment writing classes at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Writing Institute has a long and respected history of providing a supportive community for writers through workshops, classes, intensives, youth writing programs, and more. Writing Institute students have gone on to publish novels, memoirs, poetry collections, books for children and young adults, articles, essays, and more. Classes are offered in everything from novel writing to memoir, poetry to publishing, comedy writing to character development. On campus classes take place at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, while virtual classes can be attended from anywhere.
Check out the classes and workshops running from January through April and kickstart your year of writing. Highlights of the Writing Institute’s online classes include Motherhood in Memoir, Writing from Our Jewish Roots, Writing for Young People, and a workshop for writers aged 50+. On campus offerings include comedy writing, travel writing, and writing about art. Registration for all classes and workshops is open now, and will remain available until one week prior to the class or workshop’s start date.
