There is an amazing art exhibit at Bronxville's Sarah Lawrence College beginning this weekend. The exhibit includes paintings, drawings, masks and works that have been used in theatrical productions. Here are the details from the college.
Exploring the crossover of literary and plastic expression, "Paintings Over Time (Reimagined Moments)" includes paintings, drawings, masks and works that have been used in theatrical productions and cabaret. Shirley Kaplan—painter, director and playwright—has worked extensively in theatre within the United States and Europe. Her paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries, including solo shows at The Stable, Terry Dintenfass and Hacker Gallery in New York City. At Sarah Lawrence College, she is a member of the theatre faculty and co-director and founder of Theatre Outreach.
