No Passport Required: Concordia Conservatory's 'A Night In Budapest'

BRONXVILLE, NY — Concordia Conservatory will be marking the culmination of the 20th anniversary season of its Hoch Chamber Music Concert Series with "A Night in Budapest."

Concordia says that the event not only signifies a milestone for the conservatory but is also a momentous occasion as the final concert of the 2023-24 season.

The final concert of the season will be performed at The Reformed Church of Bronxville, located at 180 Pondfield Road, on April 6, at 7 p.m.

Artistic Director and violist, Lawrence Dutton will be joined by Elizabeth Lim-Dutton and Concordia faculty: Emanouil Manolov on violins, Junah Chung, on viola, and Estelle Choi & Zhihao Wu on cello.

Organizers say that the program will be a blend of classical masterpieces."

The first act will pay homage to Budapest composers, Bela Bartok and Erno Dohnányi, while the second act will crescendo into a grand finale with Brahms’ String Sextet No. 2 in G Major, "captivating audiences with its timeless beauty and emotional depth."

For twenty years, the mission of Concordia Conservatory’s Hoch Chamber Music Concert Series has been to enrich communities across Westchester County (and now Fairfield County) with exceptional musical experiences. Concordia says that it is dedicated to continuing to "share the transformative power of music with audiences of all ages, fostering a deeper appreciation for the arts and inspiring future generations of musicians."
