Camera Footage May Help Larceny Investigation

Police Blotter: A look at some of the incidents investigated by the Eastchester Police Department.

2 p.m. Eastchester Police are investigating a shoplifting incident at the on White Plains Rd.   Police say the suspect stole cans of Enfamil formula from the store.  The suspect then took off in a black SUV.  Police are analyzing surveillance footage from the store that could help them locate the suspect.

6:30 p.m. Police arrested an Eastchester woman for DWI after she got into a fender bender.  It happened in the parking lot behind the Lord & Taylor shopping center.  Investigators say 53-year-old Debbie Venere failed a field sobriety test.  The Eastchester resident then refused to take a Breathalyzer test. The 53-year-old was booked, and then released on $250 bail.

6:00 p.m. Police are trying to track down a construction truck that damaged a car at the intersection of White Plains Rd. and Reynolds Pl.  The driver of the car says she was passing the truck, when something dented the right side of her vehicle.  The woman says she thinks that something attached to the construction vehicle may have damaged her car.  Police say the truck driver drove off before the woman had a chance to flag them down.
