Police: Drunk Driver Runs Light in Bronxville

The man charged with driving drunk through Bronxville is due back in court Wednesday.


Investigators say a Bronx man drove drunk through a red light here in Bronxville, according to Lohud. The incident happened at 3:57 a.m. on April 24 at the intersection of Pondfield and White Plains Road.

The driver of the car is being identified as 53-year-old Suneel Samaroo. Samaroo is charged with two counts of DWI. Investigators say his blood-alcohol level was double the .08 New York State limit.

Sameel was arraigned on the charges and released on $500 bail. Police impounded his car and also charged him with driving through a red light.

Sameel is due back in court Wendesay.
