Volunteer Opportunities Of The Week: Gala Volunteers, Photographer

Every week, Patch will spotlight volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.

Gala Volunteers and Photographers
Volunteers are needed to assist with the Habitat House Party, an annual fundraiser that celebrates the mission of housing justice and those who have contributed to the cause over the past year. Volunteer roles include greeting patrons, registering guests, assisting guests with directions or questions, set-up, breakdown, and supporting the live auction and shopping experience. An event photographer is also needed, and lunch and dinner will be provided for daytime and evening volunteer shifts, respectively. Volunteers must be 18+.
Date: Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; multiple opportunities

Carver Market Volunteers
Help distribute groceries and other goods to neighbors in the Port Chester community as part of this indoor client-choice market. Volunteers may also assist with checking in and out guests, restocking shelves, providing shopping assistance to guests, and weighing groceries. Volunteers must be 16+ and able to lift heavy grocery bags and boxes.

New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade
Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to help make New Rochelle's annual Thanksgiving Parade a success! Volunteers may serve as balloon and banner holders, hot chocolate table volunteers, and general parade support.
