BROOKLYN, NY — Here are some of the openings, closings, and real estate-related stories that made headlines in Brooklyn last week:
Crown Heights
- New details were released on the planned relocation of the Brower Park Library to the Brooklyn Children's Museum.

Park Slope
- Construction on a 70-unit condo building on 4th Avenue is getting underway.
- Community Board 6 wants the outdoor "street seats" at Fifth Avenue and St. Marks Avenue to return for the next three years.
Prospect-Lefferts Gardens
- Ta-Nahesi Coates has sold the Lefferts Gardens brownstone he and his family were never able to move into.
- "Empenada City" has been broken into twice, even though it hasn't opened yet.
Sunset Park
- The city has filed plans to construct a new concrete plant in Sunset Park to be operated by Ferrara Bros., who will be relocating their Gowanus factory to the neighborhood.
- Bush Terminal will be the future home of the "Made in New York" manufacturing campus.
- A new karaoke bar is coming to the corner of 39th Street and Third Avenue.
Williamsburg
- And the 104 affordable apartments to be located in a new development on the site of the former Domino Sugar factory received more than 87,000 lottery applications.
