WILLIAMSBURG, NY — A man accused of yelling "free Palestine" before throwing a rock at a man in South Williamsburg was arrested Tuesday, according to the NYPD and a police source.

Mohamed Habachi, 23, of Brooklyn, now faces hate crime and assault charges related to the November 22 attack that police investigated as an antisemitic hate crime, according to the NYPD.

Police said Habachi was riding his bike when he approached a 45-year-old man on Montrose Avenue between Union Avenue and Broadway about 6:30 p.m.

He yelled out "free Palestine" then threw a rock at the 45-year-old, cutting his leg, according to a police source.

Habachi was expected in court Wednesday, court records show.
