BOROUGH PARK, NY — A Brooklyn son was arrested for his parents' stabbing death over the weekend at their shared apartment, police sources said Monday.

Meyer Sperber, 46, of Borough Park, now faces murder and weapons charges related to the bloody attack Saturday that killed his 75-year-old parents, authorities said.

The couple, Rachel and Jacob Sperber, were stabbed multiple times Saturday about 5:20 p.m. at their home on 45th Street between New Utrecht and 12th avenues, according to the NYPD. Sperber was taken into custody on the scene and arrested a day later, police said.

The slaying horrified neighbors who said the couple were good people who "did everything they could" to help their son, who was mentally ill, neighbors told the New York Post.

The family would invite hungry neighbors into their home for food — the couple was beloved by neighbors, according to the Post.
