FLATBUSH, NY — A man accused of attacking three NYPD cops with a machete was arrested in Brooklyn, police said Tuesday.

Jean Blain, 40, now faces attempted murder, assault and weapons charges related to Monday's attack that put three NYPD officers in the hospital, authorities said Tuesday.

Cops tried to place Blain in custody about 3:20 p.m. at his apartment on New York Avenue near Beverly Road — where they had been called with reports of an "emotionally distressed person," according to the NYPD.
