BROOKLYN, NY — A Brooklyn dispute turned violent when a woman allegedly poured boiling oil onto a man, leaving him badly burned, police said.

The early-morning assault occurred around 5:20 a.m. near East 94th and Winthrop in Brownsville, where the woman—appearing to be in her 30s—allegedly flung the burning oil onto the 38-year-old victim, cops said.

Authorities said the man, who suffered severe burns and skin damage to his chest, arms and legs, was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in critical but stable condition, while the woman fled the scene on foot.
