Teen Attacked By Group At Brooklyn Train Station, Police Say (patch.com) — A 17-year-old was beaten and stabbed during an attempted robbery at the Livonia Avenue subway station in Brooklyn, and police say three teenage boys are being sought. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, and investigators have released surveillance images while urging Brooklyn residents to share any tips with Crime Stoppers.
   

2. Dangerous Carbon Monoxide Leak Sends 8 To Hospital In Brooklyn: FDNY (patch.com) — A dangerous carbon monoxide leak inside a Gravesend home sent eight Brooklyn residents to local hospitals and sickened four others late Sunday night, according to FDNY. Firefighters recorded hazardous gas levels, ventilated the West 6th Street house, and are urging Brooklyn households to maintain working detectors and recognize symptoms like dizziness and shortness of breath.
   

3. ‘Therapy for the Soul': Woodhull Medical Center unveils first-of-its-kind systemwide mural • Brooklyn Paper (brooklynpaper.com) — Woodhull Medical Center in Bedford-Stuyvesant has unveiled a massive new anti-violence mural that hospital leaders call “therapy for the soul.” Created with Brooklyn-connected artists and youth, the artwork now greets visitors on the first floor and will be replicated at Kings County and other NYC public hospitals.
   

4. Seven defendants sentenced for transnational telemarketing scheme (brooklyneagle.com) — In Brooklyn’s federal courthouse, seven people have been sentenced for laundering more than $12 million tied to a telemarketing scam that targeted mostly elderly victims across the U.S. Prosecutors say the group used Eastern District of New York addresses to collect checks, then funneled the money through bank accounts before sending much of it overseas, and now must repay over $12 million in restitution and forfeitures.
   

5. Unused for 40 Years, Ocean Parkway Mikvah Comes Back to Life (collive.com) — A long-unused Ocean Parkway mikvah in Brooklyn is being completely rebuilt as part of a new Tomchei Tmimim Mesivta campus, bringing the facility back into active community use. The yeshiva, serving many Crown Heights–connected families, is opening registration for incoming students while construction transforms the site for future educational and religious needs.
