NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers watching the annual Macy's Day Parade next Thursday might need an umbrella, as a new storm impacting the New York City area is brewing, forecasters said.
According to Accuweather, it's a possibility that a slow-moving rainstorm will sweep across the northeast, with snow hitting New York City's northernmost suburbs.
"A storm has the potential to snarl transit for those even traveling locally across portions of the Midwest and Northeast on Thanksgiving Day, even those chasing Black Friday deals could contend with travel challenges," said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Tyler Roys.

"The next shot of rain we'll have is earlier in the week next week, like Monday night into Tuesday, but then it looks like later in the week around Thanksgiving is the potential for even more rain or even a rain-snow mix, for the lower Hudson Valley," Tomasini said.
