NEW YORK CITY — Forecasters say Thanksgiving in New York City is going to be a cold and rainy one.

According to the National Weather Service, there is now a 100 percent chance of rain on Thursday morning and afternoon, lasting until 3 p.m., with a high of 49 degrees and a low of 37 degrees.

Forecasters predict it will be windy, too, with northwest gusts blowing from 10 to 16 miles per hour.

The rain is expected to start in the city overnight, around 4 a.m. on Thursday, according to forecasters.

So, if you're heading to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday morning, which starts at 8:30 a.m., make sure to dress warmly and bring an umbrella.

Through the weekend, temperatures are expected to drop further, with a high of 38 degrees on Sunday.
