Compete For $1K In Prizes At Montague Street Pickleball Tournament

This is a big 'dill.'

BROOKLYN, NY — Get ready to paddle your way to victory, pickleball enthusiasts: Montague Street's first-ever pickleball tournament is coming up on Oct. 6, and there are still some spots available.

The tournament will be friendly but fierce, and the winners will earn bragging rights and more than $1,000 in prizes from businesses on Montague Street, including favorites like Books Are Magic and GTHR Yoga.

The tournament, which is for ages 16 and up, is held by the Montague Business Improvement District and the Brooklyn Heights Association. The Montague BID supports businesses on the Montague business corridor in Brooklyn Heights, and is running car-free Open Street programming on Montague Street between Clinton Street and Hicks Street on Sundays until Oct. 27.

During the tournament, there will also be courts set up specifically for non-competitive play and kids' areas.

  • $100 gift card at Chama Mama

  • $50 gift card at Books are Magic
  • $25 gift card at European Wax
  • $25 gift card at bakery L’Appartement 4

There will also be more prizes from James Weir Floral, Dellarocco’s, Brooklyn Rollup, Variety Mart, BKLYN Deli, Saketumi and more.
