Woman Groped At Brooklyn Subway Station, Suspect Still On The Loose, Police Say

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are investigating after a woman was groped at a subway station in Downtown Brooklyn, New York City Police Department officials said Wednesday.

According to the NYPD, the victim, a 27-year-old woman, was groped as she tried to pass through the turnstile at the Jay Street–Borough Hall “A” train station Monday afternoon.

Police said the man came up behind her as she went through the turnstile, forcing his way in close before pressing against her and groping her buttocks over her clothing.

Police added that the man ran off after the attack, boarding a southbound “A” train and disappearing from the station.

No injuries were reported at the scene, officials said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants, police said. As of Wednesday, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Detectives have released a surveillance image of the man as the search continues.
