BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A child in a wheelchair and another innocent bystander were nearly shot in Brownsville on Monday when two men opened fire on the sidewalk, according to police.

The two men started shooting toward another man sitting on a scooter at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Junius Street around 7:45 p.m., narrowly missing a woman and a child in a wheelchair sitting just feet away, according to police and video.

Nobody was injured by the bullets, police said.

Police said both shooters were last seen wearing face masks, gray hooded sweatshirts, gray pants and white sneakers.
