Man Dies After East New York Shooting, Cops Say
About half a dozen men fled after the 21-year-old was shot in the chest and stomach, police said.

EAST NEW YORK — A man died after gunshots struck him in East New York Tuesday evening, police said. The 21-year-old was shot in the chest and stomach behind a house on Elton Street near New Lots Avenue at 5:25 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The man was taken to Brookdale Hospital and pronounced dead there, an NYPD spokesman said.
About half a dozen unidentified men were seen fleeing the scene of the shooting but cops have not arrested anyone, the NYPD said.

It's unknown what led up to the shooting, the police spokesman said. The incident is still under investigation, he said.
