East NY and Brownsville: Learn About No-Cost Insurance Plans
Sen. Persaud's office is offering an enrollment specialist every Thursday in January, who can tell you how to get a low-to-no-cost plan.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Residents of East New York and Brownsville, who are in the district of State Senator Roxanne Persaud, can go to her office any Thursday afternoon during the month of January and talk to a health insurance specialist who will point them in the direction of a low-to-no-cost plan.
Persaud (Canarsie, East New York, Brownsville, Mill Basin, Sheepshead Bay, Bergen Beach, Marine Park, Flatlands, Mill Island, Georgetown, Ocean Hill and Starrett City) announced last week that every Thursday of January, between 2 and 6 p.m. in her Canarsie district office, a GetCovered NYC health insurance enrollment specialist will be at 1222 East 96th.
On Jan. 4, as well, don't miss an opportunity to get a free flu shot at Persaud's Canarsie office from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for adults 18 and over. Persaud's office recommends you register online because there are only a limited amount of vaccinations available at persaud.nysenate.gov.
