Elderly Man Missing From East NY Might Be In New Jersey, Cops Say

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — An East New York man who has been missing since Sunday might be in New Jersey, according to police.

Keith Gilkes, 77, was last seen at his home on Jerome Street between Cozine and Wortman avenues around 7 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

A pick-up truck that police believe Gilkes might be driving was spotted around 7:15 a.m. on Monday crossing the George Washington Bridge toward New Jersey, police said. The pick-up truck is a black 2017 Honda Ridgeline, police said.

Police said Gilkes stands 5’10," weighs 150 pounds, has a thin build, brown eyes and is bald. He was wearing a black-and-white sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan boots with a black hat, police said.
