Man Beaten Unconscious By 2 Attackers In Brownsville, Cops Say

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A man was beaten unconscious at a public housing complex in Brownsville earlier this month, according to police.

Police released photos late Thursday of a suspect in the assault, which unfolded just before 4:30 p.m. on July 8 at the Langston Hughes Houses, according to police.

A 58-year-old man was walking in the lobby of the New York City Housing Authority development when a man started punching him, police said.

The beating eventually moved outside, where a second person came up and punched the 58-year-old on the back of the head, causing him to fall to the ground, police said. The man fell unconscious after hitting his head on the ground, police said.

Both attackers fled, according to police.

The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.
