Salaya Figueroa Murder Suspect Arrested

Fred Coleman, 28, of the East New York area, was charged with murder and criminal use of a firearm, cops said Thursday.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops arrested one of two suspects Thursday in the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Salaya Figueroa at the Louis Pink housing projects. Brooklyn man Fred Coleman, 28, was arrested and charged with murder and criminal use of a firearm, cops said.

Figueroa was fatally shot in the back last week, leaving three young children behind. She is believed to have been an unintended target, police said.

Cops are still seeking Tyrell Rozzell in connection with the murder, who they said on Monday should be considered armed and dangerous.
