Troy Ave, Brooklyn Rapper, Shot in His Maserati in Brownsville
The rapper was hit in the arm and grazed in the head Sunday afternoon, cops said.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave was in stable condition Sunday night after he was shot in his car Sunday afternoon in Brownsville, Brooklyn, cops said. The 34-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and a graze wound on his head, police told Patch.
According to the NYPD, the rapper was driving a red Maserati at around 4:20 p.m. when a man approached his car and fired several rounds.
Troy Ave, whose real name is Roland Collins, crashed into a parked car right after he was shot, police sources told News 12 Brooklyn.

Collins went on his own to Brookdale Hospital, where he was declared in fair condition, police said.
The NYPD said Sunday night that police didn't yet know the motive of the shooting, there were no arrests, and the investigation was ongoing.

"Tonight, Troy Ave was targeted again...on Christmas," said Scott Leemon, Collins' attorney, in a statement sent to Patch. "In Brooklyn, going to meet his family for the holiday, he was shot two times. Thankfully, he will survive the second attempt on his life. As we have said from the beginning – he is a victim. We pray for his speedy recovery."
