Woman Dies In Crash On Belt Parkway In East New York, Cops Say

The 35-year-old woman fell from her car and into the road, where she was hit by another car, police said.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A woman died in an early morning crash on the Belt Parkway in East New York on Tuesday, according to police.

The 35-year-old woman was driving her Mercedes SUV east on the highway near the Erskine Street exit when, for an unknown reason, she fell from the car and into the road, police said.

Her Mercedes continued forward for 500 feet before crashing into a tree, according to police.

While lying in the road, the woman was hit by another car that didn't stop, police said.

She was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency responders, according to police.
