Woman Goes Missing From Van Dyke Houses In Brownsville, Cops Say

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A woman has gone missing from the Van Dyke Houses in Brownsville, according to police.

Valerie Joyner, 54, was last seen in her Blake Avenue apartment near Mother Gaston Boulevard around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, according to police. She was reported missing on Thursday, police said.

It appears to be the second time Joyner has been reported missing in the last few months. An alert about Joyner was also sent out after she went missing on Dec. 26, according to the Bronx Daily.

Police said Joyner was last seen wearing a long black shirt, black leggings and white socks this week.

Joyner is also the second person to go missing in Brownsville this week. Police are also looking for 16-year-old Dion Stokley, who was last seen at his home on Junius Street on Tuesday, according to police.

Police have also put out missing person reports this week for 35-year-old Antonette Johnson and 81-year-old Jorge Aymacana, both of whom are from Bushwick.
