Family demands answers after 26-year-old worker died while working at a Downtown Buffalo hotel (wkbw.com) — A Buffalo family is asking a judge to compel Buffalo police and two companies to release records tied to their 26-year-old son’s fatal electrocution at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Delaware Avenue. Four months after his death, they say they still lack basic investigative details and want answers both for closure and a potential wrongful death case.
   

2. Buffalo's African American Cultural Center celebrates major renovation milestone (wkbw.com) — A long-promised $1 million renovation of Buffalo’s African American Cultural Center on Masten Avenue is finally complete, bringing vital electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior upgrades to this East Side landmark. Community leaders say the refreshed space will expand arts and cultural programming, while a larger $2 million second phase focused on the Paul Robeson Theatre is already in the works.
   

3. Buffalo man accused of killing girlfriend and newborn son dies in jail (nydailynews.com) — Buffalo readers should know that a man awaiting trial in Erie County on charges he killed his girlfriend and newborn son in their Buffalo apartment was found dead in an apparent suicide at the Alden correctional facility. Officials say the October fire on Norwood Avenue was allegedly set with gasoline, and prosecutors now plan to dismiss the indictment once his death is formally certified.
